“Counting was paused overnight so the missing votes could be manufactured”

Counting slows overnight in almost every large election, for reasons published in advance: mail ballots that could not lawfully be processed before election day, staff shifts, and jurisdictions that report on their own schedule. The narrative reads a documented procedure as a cover story. In the United States in 2020 the overnight batches were lawfully cast ballots and hand audits matched or slightly widened the certified margin. In Mexico in 2024 the losing candidate urged supporters on election night not to let results "be hidden", then conceded the next morning; results came from hand counts at roughly 150,000 polling stations with party representatives present, with a margin of about 32 points.
