Distribution of seats in the Riksdag and determination of the candidates elected as members and substitutes (decision VAL-735-2026)

The decision of the Election Authority's board of 19 September 2026 distributing the 349 Riksdag seats for the term following the election of 13 September and naming the members and substitutes elected. Its first annex gives each party's votes and seats: Social Democrats 1,895,989 (28.02 per cent, 99 seats), Moderates 1,343,448 (19.85, 70), Sweden Democrats 1,183,248 (17.48, 62), Left Party 568,781 (8.40, 30), Centre Party 475,780 (7.03, 25), Christian Democrats 417,490 (6.17, 22), Green Party 414,307 (6.12, 22), Liberals 361,187 (5.34, 19) and other registered parties 107,199 (1.58, none). It records 6,767,429 valid votes, 66,984 invalid (0.98 per cent, 59,557 of them blank), 6,834,413 cast and 8,051,355 eligible, a turnout of 84.89 per cent. Seats go to parties with at least 4 per cent nationally or 12 per cent in a constituency. The decision may be appealed to the Election Review Board no later than ten days after the result is announced.
