Decision no. 7/E/2024 of 29 March 2024 proclaiming the final results of the poll of 24 March 2024

The Constitutional Council's proclamation of the final results of the 24 March 2024 presidential election, taken on the record of the national vote-counting commission. It records 7,371,890 registered voters, 4,519,253 voters, a turnout of 61.30 per cent, 34,125 spoiled ballots, 4,485,128 valid votes and an absolute-majority threshold of 2,242,565, and declares Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye elected President of the Republic with 2,434,751 votes, ahead of Amadou Ba with 1,605,086. It notes the decree of 6 March 2024 fixing the date of the election and the compression of the contentious-proceedings deadlines that followed the interrupted timetable.
