FAFEN Analysis of Voter Turnout, General Elections 2024

Based on Form 47, the provisional consolidated statement of results of the count, for 264 National Assembly constituencies obtained from the Election Commission's website, FAFEN reported that about 60.6 million voters cast ballots on 8 February 2024, some 5.8 million more than the 54.8 million of 2018, but that turnout fell from 52.1 per cent to 47.6 per cent because the register grew from 106 million to 128.6 million voters. Provincial turnout fell in every province: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from 44 to 39.5 per cent, Islamabad Capital Territory from 58.3 to 54.2 per cent, Punjab from 56.8 to 51.6 per cent, Sindh from 47.2 to 43.7 per cent and Balochistan from 45.3 to 42.9 per cent. Form 47 from ten National Assembly constituencies carried no gender disaggregation of votes polled.
