United Russia Set for Record Parliament Majority in First Wartime Elections

The Moscow Times reports the preliminary results of 21 September 2026: with 95 per cent of ballots counted, Central Election Commission chair Ella Pamfilova announced 57.83 per cent of the party-list vote for United Russia, whose candidates led in 208 of 225 single-member districts, and projected about 355 of 450 seats for the party. It states that Yabloko, the only party running on an anti-war platform, won no seat in the single-member constituencies after being blocked from the party-list ballot in August, though it passed the 5 per cent threshold in the Novgorod regional assembly election, and that the commission said final results would be announced no later than 5 October.
