No major information or cyber attacks against the Swedish election

Joint assessment published the day after the vote. It states that the Riksdag election was held without major cyberattacks or coordinated information influence by a foreign power; that MPF's pre-election analysis had found the Swedish election not to be a priority target for foreign threat actors; and that the agency could establish that Sweden was not subjected to coordinated foreign information influence directed at the election. MPF's head of operations, Karin Lönnheden, says it saw no extensive coordinated activity from the actors it follows in connection with the election; NCSC head John Billow says the centre noted no events that affected the conduct of the elections from a cyber perspective. The agencies describe the period until a new government takes office as sensitive and say their work continues in the coming weeks.
