Supreme Court cancels Yabloko's registration in the Duma elections

Interfax reports that on 10 August 2026 the Supreme Court granted an administrative suit filed on 7 August by the Rodina party and cancelled the registration of Yabloko's federal list of State Duma candidates; the Prosecutor General's Office had supported the suit. Rodina's representatives told the court that Yabloko's documents and campaigning breached intellectual-property and copyright law, anti-extremism legislation and financing rules. A Central Election Commission representative said the commission had received information from the financial-monitoring agency Rosfinmonitoring that people on the federal list had received foreign funding, including from the United States, Germany and the UAE; Yabloko's lawyer said the party received no foreign money and that the donations came from Russian citizens who had themselves received funds from abroad.
