The MacronLeaks dump landed against France’s pre-election media blackout and contained obvious forgeries. Star Blizzard’s release of UK-US trade documents before the 2019 general election followed the same shape. Recorded as contested rather than debunked because the leaked material is often authentic — what is false is the framing that a theft timed for maximum disruption is a disinterested disclosure.
