The Korea Herald · December 6, 2024

Sets out the deployment of troops to National Election Commission premises on the night of 3 December 2024: about 10 personnel entered the NEC's Gwacheon headquarters at 10:30 p.m., 130 went to the NEC training centre in Suwon and 47 to the National Election Survey Deliberation Commission in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, 297 in total, less than ten minutes after martial law was declared and about an hour before troops reached the National Assembly. Soldiers photographed servers. Former defence minister Kim Yong-hyun said the deployment was 'to assess the necessity of an investigation into alleged election fraud'.
