Zambia 2026 General Election
Voters elect the president, National Assembly, mayors and councillors. A presidential run-off is required within 37 days if no candidate receives more than 50% of valid votes.
Zambia's first general election under the late-2025 constitutional changes combines a presidential contest with an enlarged National Assembly. The Electoral Commission has published the timetable, a final register of 8.8 million voters and a polling-station count-and-post procedure; implementation of those safeguards is the central integrity test.
What to watch
Each point is classified under the same five categories as a documented finding, so an upcoming election reads with the same frame as a past one.
- Порушення процесу
Whether polling materials, staffing and access are consistent across the expanded 226-constituency map, and whether accredited party agents and observers can remain through the count.
See the source - Порушення процесу
Whether signed polling-station result forms are given to accredited participants and posted outside each station before constituency totaling and electronic transmission.
See the source - Статистичні аномалії
Whether any discrepancy between station forms, constituency totals and the National Results Centre is documented and resolved through the published correction process. A discrepancy is a check to perform, not by itself proof of falsification.
See the source - Інформаційні операції
Whether fabricated observer claims or false descriptions of parallel vote tabulation circulate during the results window, and whether corrections link back to the signed station-level record.

Scheduled dates come from national election authorities and are linked above. Dates can move; where one is not yet fixed by decree it is marked as expected rather than confirmed. Listing an election here is not a prediction that anything improper will occur — it is a statement about what would be worth checking if it did.
