Was there fraud? Keys to understanding the polling stations with zero votes for Javier Milei

La Nacion · November 1, 2023

Sets out why about 1,700 first-round polling stations showed zero votes for Milei: the same pattern appeared for Massa (1,652 tables) and Bullrich (1,675) against Milei's 1,669, and National Electoral Director Marcos Schiavi said 1,544 tables could not be tallied at all because their telegramas did not arrive in time. It gives the district-level breakdown showing the three counts tracking one another - 695, 702 and 708 tables in Buenos Aires province for Bullrich, Milei and Massa, 186, 180 and 174 in Salta, 112, 112 and 113 in the City of Buenos Aires. The National Electoral Directorate later reported that only 125 telegramas, 0.12% of the presidential total, showed zero votes for La Libertad Avanza alone. The article records that as of its publication on 1 November 2023 no appeal questioning the validity of any polling station's count had reached the National Electoral Chamber from any party.
