Russian Supreme Court did not change the decision to remove Yabloko from the State Duma elections

Interfax reports that on 17 August 2026 the Supreme Court's appeals panel dismissed Yabloko's appeal and upheld the cancellation of the registration of its federal list of State Duma candidates, so that the decision entered into force. Yabloko chairman Nikolai Rybakov had asked the panel to overturn the first-instance ruling in full; the Prosecutor General's Office and the Central Election Commission asked for the appeal to be rejected. The report restates the grounds argued by the plaintiff, the Rodina party — intellectual-property and copyright breaches, anti-extremism violations and financing breaches — and the commission's reliance on Rosfinmonitoring data on foreign funding, which Yabloko denied.
