CEC chairwoman comments on preliminary election results, unprecedented threats

She put State Duma turnout at 59.32 per cent, more than 62.6 million voters, and online-voting turnout at 90.88 per cent, more than 3.65 million voters; spoke of unprecedented external threats and cyber aggression; and said more than 336,000 observers worked at polling stations, 88.3 per cent of those registered, 15 of whom were removed by court order in eight regions. She reported 17 precinct commission members removed by court decisions, mainly for deliberately damaging ballots, two ballot-stuffing cases in Crimea and Mari El whose perpetrators would be punished, and 36,850 ballots declared invalid at 20 of more than 90,000 polling stations, with no polling-station result rejected.
