George Simion은 5월 18일 결선투표의 무효를 구하는 이의 제기에서 이 주장을 제기했다. 헌법재판소는 해당 소송을 근거 없음으로 만장일치 기각하고 Nicușor Dan의 당선을 확정했다. ODIHR은 선거운동 기간 온라인 조작에 대한 우려를 기록했으나, 그러한 조사 결과만으로 인증된 결과가 무효였음을 입증하지는 않는다.
