CIS observers report zero violations affecting results of State Duma election

TASS reports that CIS Deputy Secretary General Ilkhom Nematov told a briefing for foreign observers at the Central Election Commission on 21 September 2026 that observers from Commonwealth of Independent States member countries recorded no violations that could have affected the results of the State Duma election. The report restates that voting took place over three days, 18–20 September, that residents of the occupied Ukrainian regions it calls Donbass and Novorossiya took part for the first time, and that ten parties were on the federal ballot.
