The new Riksdag after the elections

Riksdag article of 19 September 2026, amended on 21 September, giving the seat distribution after the final result was confirmed: Social Democratic Party 99, Moderate Party 70, Sweden Democrats 62, Left Party 30, Centre Party 25, Christian Democrats 22, Green Party 22 and Liberal Party 19, the eight parties that won at least 4 per cent. Of the 349 members elected, 187 are men (53.6 per cent) and 162 women (46.4 per cent). The new Riksdag meets for a roll call on Monday 28 September 2026 and then elects the Speaker and deputy speakers for 2026–2030; the opening ceremony of the Riksdag session takes place on 29 September.
