Cabo Verde 2026 Presidential Election
A second round between the leading two candidates is constitutionally required if no candidate receives an absolute majority of valid votes; its date has not yet been announced.
Cabo Verde will elect its president on 15 November, with citizens voting in the islands and diaspora. The immediate integrity checkpoints are completion of registration before the 65-day suspension, correction and freezing of the rolls, access for agents and observers, and reconciliation of polling-station records through the national tabulation.
What to watch
Each point is classified under the same five categories as a documented finding, so an upcoming election reads with the same frame as a past one.
- Порушення процесу
Whether registration transfers and corrections in Cabo Verde and the diaspora are completed before the statutory suspension, and whether complaints during roll inspection receive documented decisions.
See the source - Порушення процесу
Whether candidates, party representatives and accredited observers receive consistent access from polling through the general tabulation and proclamation.
See the source - Статистичні аномалії
Whether station totals from the islands and diaspora reconcile with the published national result. Any mismatch should trigger a document check; it is not by itself proof of falsification.
See the source - Інформаційні операції
Whether false election-date, registration-deadline or diaspora-voting instructions circulate, and whether corrections point voters to the CNE calendar and their electoral-registration commission.

Scheduled dates come from national election authorities and are linked above. Dates can move; where one is not yet fixed by decree it is marked as expected rather than confirmed. Listing an election here is not a prediction that anything improper will occur — it is a statement about what would be worth checking if it did.
