The electoral administration's published results for the 2024 presidential election: 7,371,890 registered voters, 4,519,253 votes cast, 61.30 per cent turnout, 4,485,128 valid votes and an absolute-majority threshold of 2,242,565. Bassirou Diomaye Faye took 2,434,751 votes or 54.28 per cent, Amadou Ba 1,605,086 or 35.79 per cent, Aliou Mamadou Dia 125,690 or 2.80 per cent and Khalifa Ababacar Sall 69,760 or 1.56 per cent.
