Nicaragua National Assembly, November 2021 election results

Inter-Parliamentary Union (Parline) · December 15, 2021

Parline's record of the 7 November 2021 National Assembly election, sourced to the National Assembly on 15 December 2021 and to the CSE proclamation in La Gaceta No. 219, gives the seat distribution for the 90 directly elected seats: FSLN 75, PLC 9, ALN 2, PLI 2, APRE 1 and YATAMA 1, with 46 women and 44 men elected. It records that the largest party took 83.3 per cent of the seats at stake and that the runner-up presidential candidate, Walter Espinoza of the PLC, entered the Assembly under article 133 of the Constitution, bringing the chamber to 91 members, against 92 in the 2016-2021 legislature. The page carries no publication date; the date used here is that of the National Assembly source it cites. Its 'registered voters' field gives 2,921,430, which the CSE reports as the number of votes cast rather than as the size of the register; that field is not relied on here.
