Questions and answers about the error in advance voting

It states that an error discovered at the beginning of September affected the registration of certain advance votes, that the Authority corrected it and that all advance votes have been registered correctly since the morning of 4 September. It first feared that 4,000 voters were affected but after analysis puts the figure at no more than 300. Affected voters, whom the Authority says it cannot identify, are told to vote at their own polling station on election day and not to vote in advance again, because all of a voter’s advance votes would then be invalid. The count itself is stated to be unaffected, and voters with protected personal details are not affected.
