Law 1266 of 24 November 2019, Law on the Exceptional and Transitional Regime for the Conduct of General Elections

Article 2 leaves the general elections held on 20 October 2019 and their results without legal effect and orders fresh general elections for the 2020-2025 constitutional term. Article 4 ends the terms of the sitting members of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal on promulgation, Article 6 sets six-year non-renewable terms for their replacements and requires at least two indigenous members and three women, and Article 12 requires the new tribunal to issue the election call within two days of taking office, with voting within 120 calendar days of that call.
