National Assembly Turnout — General Elections, 2024

Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) · July 29, 2026

A FAFEN compilation from Election Commission records giving 61.28 million votes polled for the National Assembly on 8 February 2024 against a registered electorate of 128.58 million, of whom 69.26 million were male and 59.32 million female, a registration gender gap of 9.94 million or 7.7 per cent of the electorate. It records 1,768,471 rejected ballots, male votes polled of 34.54 million and female of 24.42 million, and puts the highest National Assembly turnout between 1970 and 2024 at 54.9 per cent in 2013 and the lowest at 34.8 per cent in 1997. The page headlines an overall 2024 turnout of 49.9 per cent, but 61.28 million against 128.58 million is 47.7 per cent; 49.9 per cent is the male turnout the same page reports (34.54 million against 69.26 million), so the headline figure appears to be an error in the compilation.
