Summary of the pronouncement in case 2024Hun-Na8, Impeachment of the President (Yoon Suk Yeol)

The Constitutional Court's Public Information Office published the official summary of the pronouncement delivered on 4 April 2025 in case 2024Hun-Na8, in which the court granted the National Assembly's impeachment petition and removed President Yoon Suk Yeol from office over the emergency martial law he declared on 3 December 2024. The summary is the Court's own record of the ruling that also addressed the deployment of military force to the National Election Commission and the president's claim that martial law was needed to dispel suspicions of electoral fraud.
