Over 6,000 appeals after the election

TT report of 23 September 2026 that just over 6,000 submissions had reached the Election Review Board following the reporting on suspected electoral fraud in Dalarna. On the Wednesday afternoon more than 5,000 were still unregistered, and the head of the Board’s secretariat, Emma Hellman, said just under 900 appeals had been registered, many of them concerning the suspected fraud. The Riksdag election can be appealed until 29 September, and, citing TV4 Nyheterna, the report says the Board needs extra staff from the Riksdag Administration to handle the volume.
