Decision Enacting the Law on Amendments to the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Decision 05/22 of 27 July 2022, issued by High Representative Christian Schmidt under Article V of Annex 10 to the Dayton Peace Agreement after the 2022 general elections had already been called. It imposed amendments to the BiH Election Law on an interim basis until the Parliamentary Assembly adopts them, adding definitions of electronic media, online media, hate speech and abuse of public funds, prohibiting the misuse of public resources in campaigning, and giving the Central Election Commission powers to fine political entities up to BAM 30,000, remove candidates, de-certify parties and bar individuals from election work.
