She rejected the announced result, joined opposition MPs in challenging the rules governing the elections before the Constitutional Court, and rejected the legitimacy of the electoral college that chose her successor in December 2024.

Appeals against the results before the commission, the courts and the Constitutional Court were all dismissed.
