Decision No. 2024-6367 AN of 7 March 2025 (Saône-et-Loire, 5th constituency)

The Constitutional Council annulled both rounds of the 2024 legislative election in the 5th constituency of Saône-et-Loire. At polling station 4 of Chalon-sur-Saône and polling station 1 of Torcy the recorded votes exceeded the number of voters by two, a counting table in each having found 102 ballots in a batch of 100 envelopes, and polling station 9 of Chalon-sur-Saône showed an inconsistent number of voters and 101 ballots in a batch of 100. The Council deducted five votes from every candidate's first-round total. Gilles Platret had cleared the threshold of 12.5 per cent of registered voters needed to stand in the second round by four votes, so after the correction he no longer met it, and the second round had been contested irregularly.
