About VoteRights
VoteRights.org documents how elections around the world are run, attacked, and defended — with evidence, not outrage.
What we are
An evidence database, a published methodology, an archive, and a teaching resource — now also a forward-looking calendar. We separate proven result falsification from process violations, foreign interference, information operations, and mere statistical anomaly, because conflating them is how credibility dies. Election Watch applies the same five categories to votes that have not happened yet, as open questions rather than predictions.
What we are not
We are not a campaign, a partisan outlet, a false-balance machine, or a rumor amplifier. We publish what the evidence supports, at the confidence the evidence supports — and we say plainly when a famous claim is false. Listing an upcoming election is not a forecast that anything improper will occur.
Core principles
Five confidence tiers
Confirmed
Established by an authoritative finding.
Corroborated
Multiple credible sources agree; no official finding yet.
Alleged
A single credible source or an ongoing investigation.
Contested
Credible evidence points in conflicting directions.
Debunked
Authoritatively refuted.
Independence & anonymity
This project is run independently and, for security reasons, pseudonymously — it documents state-linked influence operations. That choice is about protecting the people doing the work, not about hiding accountability: the method is transparent, the sources are public, and every change is recorded.
