TEPJF Superior Chamber issues the ruling on the final count, the declaration of validity of the election and the declaration of the President-elect

Bulletin 400/2024 of the Superior Chamber of the Federal Electoral Tribunal on its ruling of 14 August 2024 completing the final count of the presidential election, declaring the election valid and declaring Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo president-elect with 35,924,519 votes, 59.76 per cent of the votes cast. The Chamber dismissed the arguments raised in 240 challenges to district counts and in three further suits, among them a citizens' suit, which included requests to annul the election, and confirmed the contested results; it found that the election had been free, authentic and periodic and had respected the constitutional principles governing elections. The bulletin does not address specific allegations of irregularity.
