The autonomous national electoral commission's final report on its supervision of the preparatory operations, the poll and the count. It records 7,371,890 registered voters, 23,156 CENA agents deployed, 16,440 polling-station records examined and validated, a turnout of 61.30 per cent, 19 candidates, and Bassirou Diomaye Faye's first-round win with 54.28 per cent of validly cast votes. It reports that only 66.51 per cent of new voter cards were distributed nationally and 60.15 per cent abroad, and recommends changes to card distribution, out-of-country procedures and the timetable for electoral disputes.
