Evaluation of DOJ information sharing about foreign malign influence threats to U.S. elections

The Inspector General evaluated the Justice Department's foreign-influence information-sharing system and included a case study of the Iranian 2020 campaign. It records that the FBI identified Iranian nationals behind a video and threatening messages falsely presented as Proud Boys content, shared technical information with a platform that removed the video, warned the public and supported later criminal and sanctions actions.
