Vote Leave fined and referred to the police for breaking electoral law

Announces the conclusion of the investigation into Vote Leave, Darren Grimes, BeLeave and Veterans for Britain: Vote Leave exceeded its £7 million spending limit by almost £500,000 through undeclared joint working with BeLeave and was fined £61,000; the responsible person was referred to the Metropolitan Police. Vote Leave paid the fines in March 2019 and withdrew its appeal.
