EU Election Observation Mission final report on The Gambia's 2021 presidential election

The mission positively assessed voting and counting but documented structural deficiencies, critical procedural and legal gaps, central-level opacity and an uneven campaign environment. It also reported that social-media disinformation confused voters while citizen fact-checking helped them navigate the process; it did not attribute a named operation or foreign actor.
