The government's record of the National Election Commission's plenary session of 4 June 2025. The commission convened at 6:15 a.m. and at 6:21 a.m. chairperson Noh Tae-ak declared Lee Jae-myung the 21st president-elect on the basis of the counting results, giving him 49.42 per cent and 17,287,513 votes against 41.15 per cent for Kim Moon-soo and 8.34 per cent for Lee Jun-seok. Because the election followed the removal of Yoon Suk Yeol, the winner took office immediately without a transition period, and the certificate of election was handed over at 7:00 a.m.
