Statement of the OAS Electoral Observation Mission in Bolivia

Organization of American States Electoral Observation Mission · October 21, 2019

The day after the vote the OAS mission said that at 19:40 on 20 October the Supreme Electoral Tribunal published preliminary TREP results that clearly indicated a second round, that at 20:10 the tribunal stopped disclosing preliminary results with more than 80% of the votes counted, and that data presented 24 hours later showed an inexplicable change in trend that drastically modified the fate of the election. The same statement recorded obvious inequality between the candidates and evident use of public resources during the campaign.
