U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control · November 18, 2021

OFAC attributed the 2020 online voter-intimidation and influence campaign to state-sponsored Iranian cyber actors and identified Emennet Pasargad as its lead company. Treasury described attempts to obtain voter information, threatening emails, election-security disinformation and compromised media accounts, and designated Emennet and associated individuals under the U.S. election-interference sanctions authority.
