A coordinated information operation that targeted France's March 2026 municipal elections with fabricated sites and inauthentic relays across TikTok, Instagram, X and Facebook, including false or misleading attacks on several La France Insoumise candidates.
VIGINUM classified the campaign as foreign digital interference and found technical indicators pointing toward Israeli influence company Blackcore, but said the exact role of the operators could not yet be identified or qualified. The operation received low online visibility before the election. Neither attribution certainty nor impact should be overstated.
