Won Ukraine's early presidential election of 25 May 2014 outright in the first round with 54.7 per cent. A fabricated results page planted on the election commission's website, and broadcast on Russian television twelve minutes before polls closed, showed him losing with 29 per cent to a candidate who in fact received under one per cent.

This is not a biography collection.
