Lazarus Chakwera
Opposition leader who, jointly with Saulos Chilima, petitioned Malawi's Constitutional Court against the conduct of the May 2019 presidential election. After the court nullified the result over widespread tally-sheet irregularities, he won the court-ordered fresh election of 23 June 2020 with a declared 58.57% — the first time an African opposition candidate won a rerun of an annulled presidential election.
